The machines required for making cell phone skins are: sticker printer, lamination machine, sticker cutting plotter. Additionally, some sticker raw material is necessary such as the printing design film and the lamination effect film.
The making process of custom mobile skin is generally described as below:
Firstly, select the brand and model of the cellphone. And then select picture for making phone sticker. By the way, upload personal photo to the software is also OK. Making some adjustment to the picture if necessary, such as reserve the location for the camera, camera flash, speaker and the logo.
Secondly, print out the design on the printing design film. Put an A4 size sheet of white printing design film into the 6 color ink-jet printer with CISS such as Epson R330. Press the print button in the software and then it will start printing.
Thirdly, laminate an ultra-thin layer of lamination effect film on the surface of the well-printed sticker in order to make it waterproof and anti-abrasion. It’s cold lamination, no need of heat. 4 rollers lamination machine is better since it can effectively avoid bubble during the lamination process.
Fourthly, cut the well-laminated sticker into custom phone skins by DAQIN cutting plotter. There are 3 types of cutter to choose from: A4 size A158, A3 size B168 and the GRAPHTEC CE6000-40. Within 10 seconds, the cutting process can be finished.
